UTI or Wyotech, want to work on BMW's.?

I want to work on BMW's at a dealership. Some guy who owns a shop the other day said you could make $100,000 a year. But I dont need that much money anyway I just like cars and have always been mechanical minded. Anywho, I live in Sacramento California and I have Wyotech and UTI right down the road. I am thinking which one I should go to to become a BMW Tech?

Would prefer people who have gone to one of these schools or people who know for sure. Also how much does it cost? Tear.

I wish you the best as you pursue a career working with BMWs. It takes hard work and dedication, but with the right education and skills, you can achieve your dreams.

I work with WyoTech, so here’s some info about the BMW concentration that’s from the catalog:

The BMW motorcycle training concentration provides the technical information required for specialization in BMW motorcycle repairs. This training also applies towards students being awarded BMW Certified Technician status. Students will study:

BTW, check out the video link below to see what the program is all about.

I don't work with the financial assistance team, but they can definitely answer your questions on cost for each program.

Have you taken a BMW performance driving school class near Spartanburg, SC?

It seems like a great experience and you can really learn how to drive your BMW. What do you think about the two day course?

I was involved in the "M5 Driving Experience" which was complimentary for all new owners of M5's. It was a 2-day session and the experience was terrific. The instructors were very professional and every detail well thought out. One learns first-hand the capabilities of these cars and leaves with the knowledge of what sets them apart from Hondas, Pontiacs, and Toyotas - superlative engineering. It's the kind of stuff not readily apparent to the naked eye.

I ordered the DVD about the Course from BMW.com They sent it to me for free!
Its the best course you could ever imagine. You will have a blast if you take it!

If you are still in your breakin period (about the first 1000-2000 miles), you will always get worse gas mileage than after the period.

Does anyone know how long a BMW 325 XI will last for. I see one for sale has 123 miles owner wants 12,000 for a 2003. Is it worth the buy? Report It

CHANGE OUT OF 1ST GEAR M8
It probably has something to do with your driving style. It COULD be a bad oxygen or air flow sensor, but chances are the problem lies in your right foot.

Keep the RPMs low, don't accelerate too fast or too slow, use cruise control and keep it under 75 or so (optimum speed will vary, but above that almost all cars fuel economy plummets) Brake early so you have better control over your speed through turns, and so that you can avoid having to stop at red lights (this depends on traffic, of course).

You can draft trucks and motorhomes, too, but if you can't do it at a safe following distance (you'll know when you're in the wake, since you can feel a transition when you enter it)...that is, if you can't do it following 2 seconds behind the car in front, don't. But on the highway, large vehicles DO punch a big hole in the air, and it DOES work.

You bought a BMW, what exactly did you expect? If you want low cost of ownership in a practical, reliable car buy a Corolla. Both get you from A to B but one does it at lower cost for less grief.

As for your flat tire, that is not something your warranty is at all likely to cover. At least I have never seen one that does. But of course BMW would be the final authority on that since it is their warranty. You need to ask them, not us.

Garage opener for 2007 BMW 3 series??

how can i synchronize my garage opener to my BMW?

Garage opener for 2007 BMW 3 series??

You need the UGDO, or Universal Garage Door Opener, an option from BMW dealer. Not sure if you have it and need the instructions, or don't have it. If you need the instructions, look here:

http://www.e38.org/hlmanual.pdf

Don't worry about the E38, the remotes all work the same.

/ You have three buttons under your mirror...

Turn your ignition switch to the first position...

Then press the outer buttons at the same time until the red light blinks 3 times fast (clears the memory), then one time(signals it is ready).

At that time, depress your garage door opener at the same time as the red light blinks once. You need to hold the garage door opener about one inch from the mirror.

After that, check it out to see if it worked.

If not, either your garage door opener isn't compatible or something else is going on.
Your dealer should have told you how to do it. I believe the brand is homelink %26 you can get more info about how to set it up using homelink.com

To tell you the truth, I would go back to the dealership and ask them because they should know and could teach you how to do it. Should be a pretty simple process that takes no more than 10 minutes.

Is Craftsman garage door opener compatible with BMW X5 Remote System?

I have a Craftsman garage door opener. My BMW X5 has 3 buttons which you can program to open your garage doors, activate home alarm. I tried both options from the BMW manual to set it to open the garage doors but it doesn't work.

If I'm too far away...what should the distance be from my car to the garage opener unit when I'm trying to activate the signal?

Is Craftsman garage door opener compatible with BMW X5 Remote System?abtuvurys 2005

If you have a garage door opener that changes the code every time it's used you may need two people to set the one in the X-5 to work for you and you need to be very close to the opener. Mine is like that and I had to be right under it and have another person work the opener while I worked the settings. The manual goes into that a little. So it depends on if you have rotating settings on the opener.

you've got to use your remote to the garage door to program it, not the garage door opener. just put your garage door remote in the car with you , and then program it
If I'm not mistaken it is 10-12ft. We have a Impala that we programmed for our gate at the front of our community.
Yeas and no. Not all Craftsman units will work. You have to make sure that the garage door opener is labeled "Homelink"

to be compatible with your UGDO option. (Universal Garage Door Opener)
