Infiniti M45 or Bmw 5 series?

do u think bmw is a bit over rated, you dont get much for your money?

Infiniti M45 or Bmw 5 series?mcaffee

Yeah, i think BMW is a little over rated and you generally have to pay a lot for repairs and/or maintainance. Also, the M45 got a lot of praise from the auto magazines like MotorTrend, Car and Driver etc... and other groups. Its also less than BMW's top of the line 5 series.

I would pick the Infiniti M45.

sorry buddy but BMW is not over-rated by any means. You just say that because you can't afford one and want to feel better about it so you claim they are over-rated. They arent. Report It

i would get the infiniti m45. i remember it getting some awards. and i also think bmw is overrated.
No, I don't think BMW is overrated. When estimating this car we don't have that much in mind its reliability or speed (though it's fast, that's a fact:). BMW is one of the few cars that you can actually FEEL when driving. That's why we talk about passion.

You can find a faster car, you can have a more reliable car but I doubt that you will find a car in this category with which you will enjoy driving more.

That's what BMW is famous for.

Anyway, I would go with the M45.
im one sided on this because i actually owned an ifiniti g20 for about a year. infinity is the worst luxury car in my opinion. i did the brakes 3 times on my car and there was alwayss engine trouble. i havent owned a bmw but even at its worse its probably better then an infinti

Hi. I have a 5 series bmw with an automatic transmission. Recently, the car doesn't shift right

hi. I have a 5 series535i modle 1988 and i replace the transmission the problem the same bmw with an automatic transmission. Recently, the car doesn't shift right. Sometimes it doesn't shift after first or second gear, and even when it does , it shifts very late, past 3-4000 Rpm. But sometimes it shifts perfectly, i don't understand this. in general, in cold weather bmw's shift later than normal , at about 3000 rpm when the engine is still cold.. Now, i have a cooling system problem, the water temp gauge stays cold, it should be in the middle (warm) but its a quarter of the way in the cold section. Could this be related to the trans problem? thanks a lot for any info.

Hi. I have a 5 series bmw with an automatic transmission. Recently, the car doesn't shift right. Sometimes imicrosoft office

Yes, you're right. The transmission will hold gears longer when the engine is cold (in order to rev slightly higher and warm up the engine faster). And the 3-4K RPM range is about right.

Your symptoms should be that it holds gears longer for a prolonged period of time - say 10 or 15 minutes, but then starts shifting normally, unless the car sits and cools for 4-5 hours (or longer). The temperature reading is probably an average of several different values, only one of which is bad.

So, if your coolant system problem involves the temperature sensor in the engine, that could very well explain your transmission issues (just because the gauge is reading incorrectly does not mean that the transmission is getting faulty data, but does point in that direction). The temperature sensor should be fairly cheap - try getting that replaced first.

Mustang gt VS bmw m3?

in a race what car would win a mustang gt or a bmw m3? does anyone know witch one of these cars takes of faster?

Mustang gt VS bmw m3?network security

Mustang gt VS bmw m3?norton internet security

In a straight line it will be the Mustang, hands down-no contest. If you have to turn then the BMW will waste the pony.
I'll assume you're talking about the E46, with S54 engine in 333hp tune.

The M3, on OEM tires, would be faster to 60, 100, and the quarter mile. It has a less torquey motor than the Mustang GT to be sure, but overall brute power and grip, paired with slightly less weight than the Mustang (1550 to 1582) would score a victory. The M3 nudges a victory in top speed as well, with 155 (limited) to 147 for the Mustang.

The M3 has the faster 0-60 (4.8 compared to 4.9) so I suppose it would beat a GT off the line. It all depends on tire temp and clutch condition though, as a weak link could send the outcome either way.
I am a ford fan but stock vrs stock the M3 is faster in the 1/8th and the 1/4 mile and also has a faster top speed. (no one that spends any time at the track or has any racing experiance uses 0-60mph times they are too inconsistant) 1/4 times is 13.5 for the 06gt and 13.3 for the 06 m3. the m3 is lighter with more hp. the stang does have more tq but its not enough to make up for the weight and hp of the m3. You have to consider though that a new m3 costs approx 20k more then a new stang so if you take the 20k you save by getting a stang and put 8k of it back into the stang not only do you have a much quicker and faster car but also you can add to the suspension with that money and your stang will handle better on the track as well.
My good friend has a 2001 Mustang GT and i have a 1999 BMW M3. In high speeds i completely destroy him(freeway)

in the begining it would be about equal then he would start pulling away but i would catch up and eventually win if were going distance.
I think the GT has more tq, The M3 would probably beat the GT as far as speed goes though, The GT (un goverened) only gets up to about 140 and it takes awhile to even get there....
well I hate to say this but the M3's are faster but if you do some mods the mustang can take them on.
depends on how you soup them up.

Is a old BMW as good as a new?

I want a nice car for about 12000 and I like luxury cars and i can get a decent BMW for that price or should I get a newer car

Is a old BMW as good as a new?network

Personally I would not touch an older BMW because of the inflated maintenance costs. Just search the net for prices on common parts such as brake pads, exhaust mufflers, for fun, and you might just change your mind. I would go for high end Japanese cars, Acura, Lexus as they are known for lower operating costs.

Is a old BMW as good as a new?norton

At this price, you can get a 2001/2002 325i with about 80,000 - 90,000 miles.

It's okay but you'd probably be spending some additional money on scheduled maintenance (Inspection II) of the car, whoch could run you $800 to $1000.
How old is an "OLD" BMW? We usually look at the condition of the car before making any offers. We look at more than one car of the same vintage to make comparisons in value. We always take a knowlegeable BWM mechanic with us when we go to look at a privately owned BMW offered FOR SALE. You might want to check with a BMW dealer to see if there are any CPO cars in the dealer's inventory. What model of BMW would you like to have? I would suggest that you buy a used BWM that is still under warranty.
You can get very nice BMWs for that kind of money. Just remember a used car is just that a used car look it over to make sure there are no major problems. take note of the condition because remember BMW is more known for their performance than their luxury.
Does a 90 year old body work as well as a 25 year old?
There are a lot of other vehicles out there that will give you far more luxury than BMW for that price. You may get a really nice one for 12k, but then when something stupid happens you realize how much minor repairs are on these vehicles.
You can get a nice BMW 328 or 325 from 1997 -1999 in a very good condition with low mileage. It will be good for few years with possible minor repairs (i.e changing battery, spark plugs etc.) But it all depends on what you want and need.
You can't get a decent BMW for that price.

The Only BMW for that price is the BMW 3 series, which competes with the Mazda 6, Audi A4, Acura TSX, Lexus IS, and Mercedes C class.

I would prefer the Mazda 6 or Acura TSX. They are more reliable, much cheaper, and just as luxurious as the other cars.
a BMW for 12000 in good condition is going to be around 10 years old but still looks great. I recommend the BMW.
