I am 15 and I have found a car I am completely in love with. It is a 1970/1971 [owner doesn't know which] BMW [sorry, I have no idea what model].
The owner says it will need a new condenser and new oil filter, both which are relatively cheap. I want it, but I don't know who else has called on it or when it will be inavailable.
I want to try to talk the owner down in price [he wants $2500] b/c I really want it soon, or it may be gone.
Please tell me how much I can offer for it, so I can try to get it soon.
Thanks.
If the question is a bit unclear, just email me at imaniconnie@yahoo.com for questions.
Any input is welcomed :]]
How much would 1970 BMW be worth in these conditions? Please help me.?triumph
if you want the car then do this, have someone look it over for you that knows something about cars, and if it is still good, then, then if he is asking $2500, take $2000 with you and say all i have is $2000 will you take that.... cash talks and it always worked for me

Thank you so much. I was really down from the other one, but I assume you both know what you are talking about, but I am going to go with yours; I like the car, A LOT and if I can get it, I would love to. THANKS :]] Report It
A 36 year old BMW would be a terrible car for a 15 year old to buy. The maintenance costs of keeping any old BMW running will make you go broke in a hurry.
And whoever told you an A/C rebuild (new condenser) on a vintage car is cheap is lying to you.
And if the owner doesn't even know the model or the year of the car I'd steer clear of this car.
