When starting a BMW vehicle, is the air condition suppose to automatically come on?

I believe this is an automatic feature. My 2000 740i does the same thing. When I turn on the car and crank it the A/C automatically comes on to the minimum level even though I turned it off at last start. It is just the way they designed it. You will probably have to do the same thing I do which is manually turn it off.

The a/c shouldn't be coming on if you didn't have it on last time.

Usually whatever you had the setting on it will come on that same temperature the next time the car is started.

Go to a dealer or mechanic, and they should be able to help you out.
if you have it turned on, yes. If not, press the a/c button (i believe it has an ice sickle picture on it).
You have to on the air con yourself.

if u start with air con on,u may drain your battery very fast, overload the starter and engine while starting.

Best start with air con in off mode.
no it shouldnt...has it always done this or just started....that kills the battery is harder on the engine when you hav the a/c on the start up
