Need advise on lexus lS250 or bmw 520i?

hi,

currently i'm looking into acquiring a new lexus IS250 or bmw520i...i really like the design of the bmw but i feel that it might be underpowered because it is a 2L, 4cylinder car, while the lexus is a 2.5l. There is a price diff of around 30k more for the bmw. Could anyone give advise on which car would be a better deal, or your views of both/either cars? Thanks

Both have timing belts that cost hundreds to change.I would go for a Mercedes diesel They will run wvo,in case fuel gets so high,or shortages develop.

have you driven the Lexus?

I found the steering to be vague and the ride unsettled.

I'm a "large" person but found the cabin to be small.

the rear seat unusable.

drive a Infiniti G35 or G37

he G37 is the coupe version, with a slightly larger and more powerful engine.

Highs: Acceleration, handling, transmission, braking, front-seat comfort, fit and finish.

The G35 is a quick, sporty, and pleasant car. The 3.5-liter V6 is punchy and refined, and the automatic is exceptionally smooth and responsive. Handling is quite agile and predictable. The ride is taut yet comfortable. All-wheel drive is available on the G35X. (Consumer Reports)
well, the 520i and the IS250 arent really in the same class. I think one is a luxury sports sedan (Lexus) while the other is a luxury sedan (520i)

Personally, i think the Lexus is a better deal because of its known reliability and it doesnt cost as much to maintain (and repair) as the BMW.
