im just after buying a 2004 bmw 330d in metallic black how should i modify it to make it look sportier any ideas

Please do not modify the body! Its already a looker. Find yourself a 330d Sportpack. It is a classy car. The only body mods that would show some class on your part would be from Alpina/ Schnitzer or any of the other serious German tuning houses. "Looks must match performance".

OK - try some ground effects - head lights, tail lights, skirts and aprons, spoilers, lowering the vehicle, etc.
Are you talking about performance or looks? The e46 coupes are basically "as is" on performance. As far as looks go, try any of the major kit manufacturers, etc. Good luck and enjoy your new e46.
I'd be happy just to own one. I wouldn't change anything. They are already badass.
Look on the Dinan Engineering website. If they don't so it, you don't need it.

Diesel cars are harder to tune by the way, but Dinan does do it.
