BMW engines will last nearly forever. My gf's 528e has over 250K and still runs like almost new. Unfortunately, all the electrical gizmos will quit working within the next decade.

Yes, I believe that's a great price. BMW's last forever. My 525i just died and I've been driving it for 17 years. I was extremely sad to let it go.

I've seen a 2001 with 74,000 for $15,990.00 from a trusted dealer. So that's a year older and has more miles.

I priced out a 2002 - 325i with 70,000 miles on www.edmunds.com and got the following prices:

Trade-in=$13,526

Private party= $14,743

Retail= $15,943

Depending on the features - the price may change. I would check out "appraise my car" on www.edmunds.com -- then you can check off whether it has the following features so you can get a more accurate price:

5-Speed Automatic Transmission

AM/FM/Cassette Audio System

Electrochromatic Rear View Mirror

Headlight Cleaners

Heated Front Seats

Leather Seats

Metallic Paint

Navigation System

Power Driver Seat w/Memory

Power Front Passenger Seat

Power Moonroof

Rear Side Airbags

Rear Ski Bag

Sport Package

Trip Computer

Wood Interior Trim

Xenon High Intensity Discharge Headlights

harman/kardon Audio
