Anyone have a BMW X3?

I want a BMW X3 but because its a "luxury car", I'm wary of the potentially high car note, insurance, etc.

If you have one, what's your note? How much did you put down? How much is your insurance?

Avoid it. Not only does it have horrid reliability (worse even than the 7 series), its expensive to keep up once the service term is over. It is also not a great value dollar for dollar, and don't have any accidents- a small fender bender will run you $4000 or more! You are better off with an Acura RDX or my choice- a Lincoln MKX, newest technology/better engineering and the ride is 100 times better. The X3 is very rough riding. What really does a BMW these days tell about you? That you have money? Probably not as most people can afford to lease one but that means nothing.

I think you will love the Lincoln. It is an absolute stunner inside and out plus its $9000 cheaper when equiped with similar options. With the exchange rate not in their favor, BMW is forced to raise prices substantially and reduce quality. Report It


Well, make sure you can pay all the cash in one month, that's around 40,000 dollars. Insurance isn't too high or low, but that depends on how many accidents or tickets you have gotten. One problem is that the car isn't perfectly reliable and its value (aka Bang for the Buck) is quite low. However, it shows wealth. I advise you to try to pay all at once, or lease. Don't finace or anything of that sort.

Sorry, I chose the Infiniti FX35. Oh, and by the way before you choose a BMW check out Infiniti's website, they have a new model which is going to be sweeeeet and it is competing with the X3. It is call an EX35 from Inifniti.
