They're pretty good, if you can live with the irony of buying a prestige exectutive car with an engine that sounds like it belongs in a tractor! BMWs are decent cars if they've been looked after, although they're not cheap to run or insure. The 320 Diesel will do about 45mpg in mixed driving conditions, which is maybe 10mpg more than a standard 320i, which is the one I'd have, cos I don't do 20,000 miles a year, which is when a Diesel does start to make sense.

Thats bloke is an idiot...the engine dosnt sound like a tractor, this is a nice model modest performance but for that you will get a nice ride and decent mpg...30+ if you drive nicely. They arnt over rated they are over priced though...but you get a good car. Insureance group is about 13 i think but check parkers as the first guy said. They dont suffer from anything to bad that i think of....except for the indicators not working. ( that was a joke) lol.
