The boot on my BMW 316i has become jammed closed. The key goes into the lock but does not turn all the way. The back seats do not move at all so it is impossible to get into the boot that way - I am concerned as I have one back break light out and need to change the bulb but I can't get into the boot! Any suggestions on the best way to open it? If possible I want to avoid taking it to a garage and having the lock drilled.
Also I have tried WD40 and it dosn't seem to have made any difference. Help!

The best thing you can do unfortunately is contact a mobile lock smith and get him to come out and free the lock.

Is there not a remote boot release in the car? What year is it?
contact BMW, might be a known fault and would be fixed for free

BMW drivers can't be
in the boot when it is locked..!!
