Alright heres the story, last on my way home it was raining and i was going home on the interstate, and i started sliding sideways down the interstate.I was in the middle lane and ended up hitting the wall in the left front of my car. The the left rear hit, then i went across three lanes of traffic, into the other wall, and the finally slid to a stop. And as soon as i figured out what just happened, i noticed that the engine was redlining and i was sitting still, in 5th gear. so i pressed the clutch in and the rpms went down to idling, and then when i tried to pull forward a little to get off the interstate, letting the clutch out and pressing the gas did nothing but rev the engine. it was like i was holding the clutch in while pressing the gas. the car is beyond repair, im pretty sure, i would just like to know what is the reason for this to happen.
The car is a 1996 BMW 328is
