Am i being ripped off or is it a good deal? Its around 7 years old i think. And also, is there anything else that i should be aware of, i dont know much about cars!! Please advise oh car lovers everywhere!! i.e. alternative good first time cars etc.

Oh yeah, and I need a good insurance company, any recommendations will be highly appreciated! Ta!

Well the price might be suitable but you have to make sure if the car comes with a Full Service History so that you know its been maintained properly. Also check if the mileage is reasonable.

Best thing to do is either take your dad or one of your guy mates to have a look at the car who have some knowledge about bmw's.

For insurance check this site out, it compares different companies and compares them to give you the best price.

Good luck!

BMW are famous for having a very expensive maintenance. Also, try to find out where the person took the BMW for maintenance and ask for the timeframe of having the car taken in to be fixed, and the per hour fee that is charged for it. Sometimes, you need to make an appointment to take the car in and that date can take up to two weeks to get... So imagine yourself, stuck with a busted car, maybe not being able to use it for two weeks until your appointment is due...!
before you buy the car get an insurance quote on www.confused.com and this will give you the best prices. the 316 is the smallest engine so it will be fairly slow. Make sure it has a full servie history at main bmw dealers. check on www.autotrader.co.uk for similar cars. There will be loads on here. Also check www.parkers.co.uk and read the reviews on this
Have you checked the mileage? I dont know a great deal about cars but my Husband has had two BM's. His first an 04 320d had 150000 miles on the clock because he drives ridiculous miles with his job. It drove amazing. It was a company car thank goodness as the maintanance was very expensive, tyres, brakes etc... The last a 56 320 was good also, although for the price I would rather pay the same for a Golf as they are less hassle and faster!
