What fees does a BMW dealership charge you, other than tax and license fee and destination charges?

I went to buy a 2007 BMW 320i 4 door sedan base model, and had calculated tax and my finace interest rate, but the dealership guy came up with a totally different figure (I have excellent credit rating so it can't be anything like that). Because I used an Auto Buying Program and the guy had to give me his invoice price I think he just tacked on other fees that are not right. Could you tell me the fees that I am supposed to be charged other than destination fee of $600. and CA registration and license fee and local tax of 7.98%?

The only other thing they usually charge is a document fee that averages $25 or so.

They usually add a transportation fee to cover the cost of hauling the car from the nearest port of entry (Oxnard, CA on the West Coast.) That might be the same as the destination fee.

You might also be charged a regional advertising fee where the dealers in your region pool their resources and buy TV and newspaper ads.

You have a right to see all the garbage fees being applied to your purchase. If you don't like them, then walk away.

The demand for BMW's usually exceeds the supply, so don't expect a lot of room for negotiation. You just need to shop around for a dealer that doesn't add a lot of charges to the car.
