I'm not from the UK, but most of the work that goes into a good paint job is the prep work. You know, sanding, taping, etc. If you can do all this yourself, and drive the car over to a bodyshop for the paint alone, you might be able to get it all done for $500, which is what, 250 punds/euros? If you have them do the whole shabang, set aside atleast $1000 (500euros?) for the cheapest, and probably twice that for a high quality professional job. I just had an ETYPE done for $2500, and even then i'd say some parts of the work was subpar at best. So, it's not cheap to do it properly!
