Does anyone know how many computers a certain BMW has or an everage number or something idk..

What year what model?

How many computers on bmw?internet

Well lets see here things with a micro prosessor

1. Engine management ECU

2. ABS

3. Trip computer

4. Seat memory computer (yes it's a computer)

5. Navigation system

6. CD/optical/ect players

7. SOME alarm systems

8. Traction control

9. Rain senson wipers

Really the list can go on and on.
I have a 5 Series (E-34) BMW which has 3 major computers in a box under the hood on the passenger side. The computers are not identical, but yes of similar size. Very reliable, never had a problem. The computer part number would, of course, have to match up with whatever your car is using before trying a replacement.
well what is the year of the bmw... and there is about 2-3 comupter i think in the older bmws...
/ Interesting question...

Just look at all the sensor codes on a BMW. I don't know how many computers are in the car, but some items have more than one sensor relaying to the computer, and there are around 100 diagnostic codes from these sensors.
Some models have more, and some have less. But just to give you an idea, an E65/66 (745,750,760) have approximately 65 computer modules (not computers per se).

Plus, to add to the complexity, you have the switches, sensors, actuators, gateways and bus-systems. A new BMW has a lot of computerization perhaps rivalled only by Mercedes Benz.
