The ignition on my bmw jammed, i stripped it down so car will start, but key has stop working by rea

my bmw ignition jammed, ive stripped it down so i could drive car until i find second hand part. car was working fine but the car dosnt seem to read the chip on key so it wont start now. the key has no battery so how does the chip charge itself ? please help

the car reads the chip like a security tag from shops, the key needs to be close the reading ring for it to work.
The chip is a transponder, as stated before, no battery is required. Try turning the ignition on with the key close.

  1. So you lose your non-intelligent car key (ie the above). You call your Nissan main dealers and find that it will cost around £200 for a key. You are annoyed at yourself, pissed off at Nissan and calculate the cans of baked beans you will be eating until payday.kole locksmith indy
