The quantity of cylinders means so much less these days than it used to. The GT-R has a beautiful twin-turbo setup on its already large 3.8L V6 that demolishes the M3's smallish, high-revving, naturally aspirated 4.0L V8. Coupled with a very efficient dual-clutch transmission, there's not much out there that could beat the GT-R in performance in its price category.

I'd say the GT-R would win in a straight line, but around the race track BMW will hammer home. Plus the craftsmanship in the BMW is just another reason the BMW is better. The M3 is fast and looks it whilst looking very understated, the GT-R typically Japanese just seems to over do it.
it doesn't matter.

the Gtr will eats all M3 for lunch.
the nissan gtr is much faster than the m3 no jokes it has 480 horse power and 434 torque vs the m3 414 horse power and 295 torque, the gtr also has all wheel drive and it does 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, with launch control, according to edmunds.com and the quarter mile in 11.6 @ 121 mph (tied with a porche 911 turbo) vs. the m3 0-60 in 4.3 and 1/4 mile in 12.8 @ 113 oh and the gtr is one of the fastest cars around the nurburgring (yes even faster than the m3), and its in the top five fatsest laps around the track
it is not logical to compare 4x4 with just two wheels. of course GTR wins
dream on hanZ !!!! I have an M3 so set the table.
Turbos= Replacement for dispacement
